Document losses
You can create a loss in order to analyze and describe it. You can
hand over or
delegate objects to another role.
Prerequisite
You have the Loss owner role.
Open a new Loss form.
Click
Explorer.Click Risk Management > Losses. The list is displayed.
Click
Create.If you are assigned to several loss owner roles that are assigned to the same environment, you are asked to specify the owner role you want to create the loss for. Select the owner role, and click OK.
If you are assigned to several loss owner roles that are assigned to different environments, you are asked to specify the environment you want to create the loss for. Select the environment and click OK.
If you are only assigned to one loss owner role within an environment, this is entered automatically as the owner role responsible, and it can no longer be changed.
The Loss form is displayed.
Edit the mandatory fields (
,
) and the optional fields.Save your entries and select the status.
Click
Save. Your entries are saved. The status is automatically set to In progress. If you want to continue later, keep this status.If you want to finish editing the loss, select the status Closed.
If you select the status Closed, the Incident field becomes mandatory. Assign the incident that lead to the loss or create a new incident.
Assign risks and hierarchy elements that are affected by the loss.
Specify the current gross and net loss for the risks/elements assigned. The sums of the Loss allocation (gross/net) columns must not be greater than the values in the Total loss (gross/net) fields.
If you want to inform the risk managers responsible that the corresponding risks and risk assessments need to be checked, click
Inform risk owner in the Related risks row.If you changed the status, save your entries again (
).
Your entries are saved. The loss is created. The loss is displayed to the assigned loss reviewer roles responsible in My tasks. The users responsible are notified automatically by e-mail.
