Specify limits for thresholds

For quantitative risk assessment, you can specify limits for the thresholds. They are defined in the Risk Management form of the risk, environment, or system object.

Prerequisite

You have the Environment administrator role or System administrator privileges in ARIS Risk and Compliance.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click ARIS Risk and Compliance Administration Administration. The General menu item is displayed initially.

  2. Click Basic settings under System management or click Environments under Environment management.

  3. If you selected Environments, click the name of the relevant environment.

  4. Click Risk Management. The form is displayed.

  5. Specify the limits for the different values.

  6. Specify the user to be notified if a limit is exceeded. The risk reviewer is always informed if you specified that notification is required.

  7. Click Save Save.

The limits for the thresholds are saved. As soon as a risk reviewer sets the status to Accepted, the system automatically checks whether a limit was exceeded. The definitions for the Risk object take priority over those for the Environment object, and the definitions for the Environment object take priority over those for the System object. If the specified notification limits are exceeded, the risk managers responsible receive a notification to ensure that appropriate measures are initiated. The notification (Threshold for the risk assessment reached) is only sent if this is specified (Notification to).
