Generate issues using ARIS reports
If you are familiar with script programming, you can create your own ARIS reports, which automatically generate issues in Registered status. These reports provide the required attributes, assign the relevant users, and provide the links to issue-relevant objects. For detailed information on the command reference of ARIS Script for Issue Management, refer to the ARIS Script help in the online help of ARIS (Help > API for ARIS reports and macros > API for reports > Global objects > Report component interfaces > Risk and Compliance > Issue Management).
A company conducts a survey on data protection among its employees. The questionnaire contains an extremely important question about the employee's level of knowledge of the basic data protection principles, internal regulations, and policies. If an employee selects the answer option I have no clue about the data protection principles, an issue is generated that requests a training session for the employee on this topic.
You can use ARIS reports in combination with workflow-based ARIS report triggers to automatically generate issues in Registered status. For detailed information, refer to Configure workflow-based ARIS report triggers. By default, two example reports are available for this purpose:
Generate issue for closed confirmation process report
Generate issue for rejected policy roll-out confirmation report
This procedure only describes the use of the standard reports.
Prerequisite
You have system administrator privileges in ARIS Risk and Compliance.
Click
Administration > Integration.Under Workflow management, click Workflow-based ARIS report triggers.
Select a component from the list on the left. To use one of the default reports mentioned above, select Confirmation Management or Policy Management. The current configuration of workflow-based ARIS report triggers of the selected component is displayed.
To generate issues for closed confirmation processes, select the report Generate issue for closed confirmation process under the Close confirmation process (automatic) task.
To generate issues for rejected policy roll-out confirmations, select the report Generate issue for rejected policy roll-out confirmation under the Confirm policy roll-out task.
If no report is available, check in ARIS Architect if the relevant ARIS report has this object set as context.
Your changes are automatically saved. The selected report is automatically triggered based on the configuration that in turn automatically triggers the corresponding action.
