Run attribute maintenance macro in ARIS Architect

Use the attribute maintenance macro in ARIS Architect to specify the relevant attributes for ARIS Risk and Compliance in ARIS Architect. For detailed information on modeling guidelines, refer to the Modeling Conventions. You can start those macro for the following objects in ARIS Architect:

  • Risk, control, control test definition (Test management)

  • Questionnaire template, section, question, option set, answer option (Survey management)

  • Control execution definition (Control management)

  • Task, project (Audit Management)

  • Business policy (Policy Management)

Prerequisite

  • For the macro to run successfully, the used method filter in ARIS must contain all ARIS Risk and Compliance attributes whose values are exported later. If only one of these attributes is missing, the macro will stop with an error message.

  • You have access to this script. Access to scripts can be restricted to certain user groups.

  • You need the access privilege for the groups in which the database items are saved.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Start ARIS Architect.

  2. Click ARIS > ARIS Architect Explorer Explorer. The Explorer tab opens.

  3. Click Navigation Navigation in the bar panel if the Navigation bar is not activated yet.

  4. Right-click the object.

  5. Click Evaluate > Start macro.

  6. Select ARCM attribute maintenance.

  7. Click Next.

  8. Select the output settings.

  9. Click Finish. The ARIS Risk and Compliance - Attributes dialog opens.

  10. Specify the relevant attributes.

  11. Click OK.

The attributes of the object are available. Simulate transfer of Risk and Compliance data to check data before you transfer data from ARIS to ARIS Risk and Compliance.
