Set up sign-offs
This section explains how to set up a sign-off. Sign-off relevant objects can be modeled in ARIS and then imported to ARIS Risk and Compliance. Generally, however, it is possible to manually create objects for Sign-off Management in ARIS Risk and Compliance.
Prerequisite
You have the Sign-off manager role.
Create roles for the individual hierarchy levels and assign the Sign-off owner role type to each role.
Define sign-off owners for the individual hierarchy levels, that is, the users who perform the valuation process at the individual levels. Assign these users in ARIS Administration to the relevant role so that each hierarchy level can be tested by the relevant user with the sign-off owner role type.
Define the hierarchy on which the sign-off is to be based. When you create the hierarchy elements, set the Sign-off relevant attribute to Yes so that these elements are included in the sign-off, and assign the relevant role in the Sign-off owner field.
Assign the required base elements to the relevant hierarchy elements: Risk or Control test definition. The assignment of base elements links control tests to the hierarchy element. These control tests are checked by the sign-off owner.
Create a sign-off definition.
Click
Explorer.Click Sign-off Management > Sign-off definitions. The list is displayed.
Click

Assign a hierarchy element as a sign-off item.
In the Control period row, enter the period in which the activities to be checked took place.
In the Sign-off period row, enter the period available to the sign-off owner to complete the sign-off.
Assign a sign-off manager and a sign-off reviewer role.
Click
Save.
The sign-off definition is created. You can now generate the sign-off.
