Assign objects to hierarchy elements

You can assign risks, controls, and control test definitions to a hierarchy element. If the hierarchy element is relevant for sign-off, it is evaluated by the corresponding sign-off. This does not apply to the additional hierarchy elements in Risk Management (application system types, risk categories).

This example describes how to assign risks and control test definitions to an organization hierarchy element. Controls can also be assigned.

Prerequisite

You have a manager role.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click Explorer Explorer.

  2. Click Test Management. Controls are assigned to the hierarchy element via the risk to which they are assigned.

  3. Click Risks or Control test definitions.

  4. Click the name of the relevant risk or control test definition.

  5. Click Information.

  6. If you opened a risk, click Create assignment/Assign Assign in the Regulations and standards row.

If you opened a control test definition: click Create assignment/Assign Assign in the Affected organizational units row.

The list of elements is displayed.

  7. If you opened a risk: Click Create assignment/Assign Assign in the row of the element you want to assign. You can assign more than one item. Close the list once you have assigned all relevant items.

If you opened a risk or control test definition: Click Create assignment/Assign Assign in the row of the element you want to assign.

  8. Click Save Save.

The assignment is created, and the list closes. If the hierarchy element is relevant for sign-off, the corresponding control test is assigned to it via the hierarchy element.
