Duplicate, working copy, and internal working copy
Duplicate
The selected object including the related elements are copied. The name of the duplicate is Copy of + <object name>. The Working copy attribute is set to No for all generated objects. The manager can change all generated objects.
Working copy
A working copy of a questionnaire template is a copy of the current template that includes the associated elements, but not the option set. The option set answers are copied and added directly to the questions. The name of the working copy is Working copy of + <Questionnaire name>.
The Working copy attribute is set to Yes for all objects generated. If required, you can generate the working copy manually to save a specific status for an object. This can be useful, for example, if you want to generate comparable surveys over a certain period of time using the working copy of a questionnaire template and then evaluate and compare the surveys.
The survey manager can change the name and the description of the questionnaire template while generating the working copy. You cannot make any changes later.
Internal working copy
Internal working copies are generated automatically by the system for the evaluation.
If the underlying questionnaire template was changed several times, the structure, the questions, and the answers of the questionnaire template can have changed completely. This is why checks are carried out when surveys/questionnaires are generated to determine whether a working copy that is identical to the current version of the questionnaire template is available. If not, an internal working copy is automatically generated. This is assigned to the questionnaires/surveys generated and can be used for filtering evaluations. This filter ensures that the basis of questionnaires included in an evaluation is the same and that the questionnaires are therefore comparable.
