Generate event-driven policy reviews

In addition to the automatic generation of policy reviews at scheduled times, you can also generate policy reviews manually.

Prerequisite

  • You have the Policy manager role.

  • In the Policy review scheduler form, the Event-driven task allowed and Review-relevant attributes are activated.

  • The policy roll-out must not be deactivated.

  • The Current policy roll-out attribute of the policy roll-out is set to Yes. For newly created policy roll-outs the Current policy-roll out attribute is set to No. The attribute is automatically set to Yes, as soon as the approval status is set to Approved and the publishing status to Published.

  • The policy roll-out must have the Published status.

  • The assigned policy owner role must be active and contain at least one active user.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click Explorer Explorer.

  2. Click Policy Management > Policy roll-outs. The list is displayed.

  3. Filter the list by policy roll-out with the approval status Approved and the publishing status Published.

  4. Click the name of the relevant policy roll-out.

  5. Click Information.

  6. Click the name in the Policy review scheduler row. The form is displayed.

  7. If not already activated, enable Yes in the Event-driven task allowed row.

  8. Edit the mandatory fields (Mandatory field, Recommended field).

  9. Click Save Save. The policy review scheduler is saved.

  10. Click Generate object Generate policy review. The Generate object Generate policy review button is displayed only if the Review-relevant attribute of the policy review scheduler that is assigned to the policy roll-out is set to Yes. The corresponding dialog opens. Alternatively, you can generate policy reviews in policy roll-outs.

  11. Enter the Start date and Duration (in days) for the policy review.

  12. Click OK.

The policy review is generated. The users responsible are notified automatically by e-mail.
