Update policy roll-outs and policy roll-out confirmations
You can update policy roll-outs and policy roll-out confirmations with regard to status and assigned objects. This is useful, for example, if additional users were assigned to the responsible policy addressee role or assignments were removed after the policy roll-out was generated. The publishing status is also updated, if necessary.
Policy roll-outs are automatically monitored regularly regarding updates using automated server tasks. The execution time of the server tasks is specified using the parameters in
Administration > General > System management > System configuration > Administration > Server task schedules. Since there is no automated server task for policy roll-out confirmations, you can trigger this function manually.
Prerequisite
You have the Policy manager role.
Click
Administration > Server tasks.Under Policy Management > Update policy roll-outs and policy roll-out confirmations, click Update.
If you are logged in as a user with cross-environment authorization, a dialog is displayed with the available environments. Select the environment and click Execute.
The dialog closes.
Administration > Monitoring > Functional > Server tasks is displayed. The server task is displayed under Server tasks in progress. When complete, the server task is listed under Completed server tasks (last 10). Through the update, a policy roll-out confirmation is displayed to the newly added users for editing under Home > My tasks, or policy roll-out confirmations that are no longer required are closed. Policy roll-outs with the publishing status Unspecified for which a publishing start date is specified and reached are set to the status To be published. The users responsible are notified automatically by e-mail.
