Data structures

Data request forms with a predefined set of data are available in ARIS Risk and Compliance for the individual evaluation objects. Filters can be used to restrict the number of rows that are returned to a dashboard. There are different types of lists with the resulting data lists.

Base list

The base list contains data from ARIS Risk and Compliance object types. Data of these lists provide a unique identifier. This is the unique identifier in all associated tables. Base lists contain no multiple selection or multiple assignment attributes. These are represented in associated lists.

Multiple-selection list

If an attribute in the base list has several different values (multiple-selection), then this attribute is stored in its own list. A risk can, for example, have one or more risk types. Accordingly, the risk type data is accessed by its own list. This list type can be used in evaluations irrespective of the base list.

The multiple-selection list always refers to a unique identifier, which is specified by the relevant base list. In addition to this main identification attribute, the multiple selection table contains the environment, the name of the relevant selection option and a key (ID) for this selection name.

Assignment list

The assignment list also refers to a unique identifier, which is passed on by the base list. In addition to this key, these lists always contain the environment and, depending on the type of assigned objects, further attributes. For example, one or more control tests can be assigned to a control test definition. Accordingly, the control tests belonging to a control test definition are stored in their own list.

Hierarchy assignment list

If hierarchies are assigned to an object, then this data is also stored in a special list that contains the key of the base object as a unique identifier, the environment, and descriptive attributes. If several hierarchy types are assigned to an object they are only output in a hierarchy assignment list. The various hierarchies can be differentiated with the Hierarchy type attribute.
