Assign or remove substitutes for users
You can specify that a user is to be substituted by another user. Policy roll-out confirmations cannot be edited by substitutes.
Prerequisite
Substitution is set to true (
Administration > General > System management > System configuration > Workflow management > General workflow > Enable substitution (legacy function) in user forms). By default, substitution is disabled.You have the system administrator or user administrator privileges in ARIS Risk and Compliance.
Click
Administration > User management > Users. The list is displayed.Click the name of the user you want to set up a substitute for. If you have the Environment administrator role, first open the role to which the relevant user is assigned, click Assigned users, and then click the name of the user.
Under Assigned substitutes, click
Assign. A list of available substitutes is displayed.If you only want to use one user as the substitute, click
Assign in the row of that user.If you want to use several users as substitutes, enable the check boxes (
) for these users, and click
Assign above the list.
From now on, assigned users can decide at login whether to log in as a substitute of the user in question or as themselves. If the substituted user logs into ARIS Risk and Compliance, a dialog shows who can act as substitute. The user can cancel the substitution assignments in this dialog by enabling the Remove all substitutes check box.
For objects that were edited by a substitute, Performed by (substitute) is displayed. To remove one substitute, click
Remove in the row of that substitute. If you want to remove several substitutes, enable the check boxes (
) of the users, and click
Remove assignment above the list.
As an alternative to substitution in ARIS Risk and Compliance, you can delegate or hand over tasks in ARIS. For detailed information, refer to the online help of ARIS.
