Generate follow-ups

You can generate follow-ups for control tests. Optionally, the generation of new control tests can be suspended until the follow-up of the previous control test is finished (ARIS Risk and Compliance Administration Administration > General > System management > System configuration > Basic settings > Application > Suspend generation of control tests during follow-up. Otherwise, control tests are automatically generated at the points in time specified in parallel with the follow-up.

Prerequisite

  • You have the Control test manager role.

  • Follow-ups can be generated for the following control tests:

    - For control tests that were not tested and were closed automatically by the system.

    - For control tests that could not be executed.

    - For control tests whose controls were not effective and for which there is no deficiency and no issue.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click ARIS Risk and Compliance Administration Administration > Server tasks.

  2. Under Test Management > Generate follow-ups, click Generate.

  3. The list of control tests you can generate follow-ups for is displayed.

  4. In the row for the control test for which you want to generate a follow-up, click Generate follow-up Generate follow-ups. Alternatively, enable (Check box enabled) multiple control tests and click Generate follow-up Generate follow-ups. The corresponding dialog opens.

  5. Enter the start date and the duration of the testing period in days.

  6. Click Execute.

The dialog closes. ARIS Risk and Compliance Administration Administration > Monitoring > Functional > Server tasks is displayed. The server task is displayed under Server tasks in progress. When complete, the server task is listed under Completed server tasks (last 10). If follow-ups were generated, the roles responsible are informed that new follow-ups are available for editing. You can check the generated follow-ups in Explorer under Test Management.
