Update control tests (assigned objects)

You can update control tests with respect to the version of assigned objects. This is useful if assigned objects, such as risks, controls or control test definitions, were changed after control tests were generated. When you update, the new version of the object is assigned to the control tests. These objects are relevant for the update: Organizational unit, Risk, Control, Control test definition, Function at which the risk/control is modeled in the process model, Regulations and standards hierarchy element, and Control tester organization element.

Prerequisite

  • You have the Control test manager role.

  • Only control tests with the status New can be updated if their processing time has not yet expired.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click ARIS Risk and Compliance Administration Administration > Server tasks.

  2. Under Test Management > Update control tests, click Update. The list of updatable control tests is displayed.

  3. In the row for the control test you want to update, click Update Update control tests. Alternatively, activate (Check box enabled) multiple control tests and click Update Update control tests.

The dialog closes. ARIS Risk and Compliance Administration Administration > Monitoring > Functional > Server tasks is displayed. The server task is displayed under Server tasks in progress. When complete, the server task is listed under Completed server tasks (last 10). If control tests were updated with respect to the assigned objects, the users who belong to the role responsible receive a message.
