Statuses of Test Management objects

Test statuses

The individual statuses have the following meaning:

  • Open

    Control tests both with the result New and with the result In progress are displayed.

  • New

    Initial status after generation of the control tests.

  • In progress

    The users will set this status if they have already made entries for the control test but have not completed it. All entries can be deleted or changed.

  • Test passed

    The result of the test shows that the test was effective. In order to save and permanently close the control test, the mandatory fields (Mandatory field , Recommended field ) Comments on design and/or Comments on effectiveness must be completed depending on the test type.

  • Test failed

    The result of the test shows that the control failed. If this status is selected, the Failure type attribute is displayed. If only one test type (Test of control design or Test of control effectiveness ) is specified for the control test, the failure type is automatically given: Design test failed or Effectiveness test failed . If both test types are specified for the control test, the control tester must specify which of the two failed or if both failed.

  • Test not possible

    The general conditions described by the control test have not occurred. It was therefore impossible to test the efficiency of the control. In order to save and definitely close the control test, the mandatory field Remark must be completed.

  • Not tested

    This status is assigned by ARIS Risk and Compliance if a test was not been performed within the testing period. system is entered as the processor, and the control test closes. All entries saved by the control tester with the status New or In progress are retained.

Review statuses

  • Unspecified

    Initial status once the control tester has completed the control test.

  • Accepted

    Can be selected by the control test reviewer if the control test reviewer accepts the control test edits. The control test is then closed permanently.

  • Rejected

    Can be selected by the control test reviewer if the control test reviewer does not accept the control test edits. The entries already submitted are deleted. The control test is displayed to the control tester role for revision.
