The values for the Amount of damages (minimum/average/maximum) and Reduced amount of damages (minimum/average/maximum) of the risk assessment are calculated from the Current loss per risk (gross/net) of the losses and automatically entered.

The gross loss is used as a basis for calculating the amount of damages. The net loss is used as a basis for calculating the reduced amount of damages, because it states the damages that would result, if the risk occurs and after the damages were reduced by a countermeasure. Thus, the net loss corresponds to the reduced amount of damages.

If several losses are selected for the transfer of loss data to a risk assessment, then the values are calculated in the following manner.

Minimum amount of damages:

The lowest total loss (gross) from the selected losses is transferred to the risk assessment.

Average amount of damages:

The sum of the total losses (gross) from the selected losses divided by the number of losses is transferred to the risk assessment.

Maximum amount of damages:

The highest total loss (gross) from the selected losses is transferred to the risk assessment.

Minimum reduced amount of damages:

The lowest total loss (net) from the selected losses is transferred to the risk assessment.

Average reduced amount of damages:

The sum of the total losses (net) from the selected losses divided by the number of losses is transferred to the risk assessment.

Maximum reduced amount of damages:

The highest total loss (net) from the selected losses is transferred to the risk assessment.
