Deactivate and reactivate policy roll-outs

You can deactivate policy roll-outs to remove them from the list of active policy roll-outs, or you can reactivate policy roll-outs to redisplay them in the list.

Prerequisite

  • You have the Policy manager role.

  • To deactivate a policy roll-out, it must not have the status Approved or Not approved.

    Deactivate policy roll-outs

    1. Click Explorer Explorer.

    2. Click Policy Management > Policy roll-outs. The list is displayed.

    3. To deactivate the policy roll-out, click Deactivate/Delete object Deactivate at the end of the corresponding row. Alternatively, Check box enabled activate multiple policy roll-outs and click Deactivate/Delete object Deactivate above the list.

    4. Click Yes to confirm the dialog when you are prompted.

    The policy roll-outs are deactivated together with the associated approvals. The users responsible are notified automatically by e-mail.

    Reactivate policy roll-outs

    1. Click Explorer Explorer.

    2. Click Policy Management > Policy roll-outs. The list is displayed.

    3. Apply the filter that displays the deactivated objects. The deactivated policy roll-outs are displayed.

    4. Click Reactivate Reactivate in the rows of the policy roll-outs that you want to reactivate. Alternatively, enable (Check box enabled) multiple policy roll-outs and click Reactivate Reactivate above the list.

    The policy roll-outs are reactivated and their status set to In progress. The required approvals are generated. The users responsible are notified automatically by e-mail.
