Retire policy roll-outs

You can retire policy roll-outs that are no longer relevant and are no longer to be used. It is not necessary that the policy roll-out received the status Cancelation required during a check.

It is impossible to undo the retirement of a policy roll-out, that is, to 'un-retire' a policy roll-out, but you can create a new policy roll-out using the policy template.

Prerequisite

  • You have the Policy manager or Policy owner role.

  • Only the current policy roll-out can be retired or canceled. For newly created policy roll-outs the Current policy-roll out attribute is set to No. The attribute is automatically set to Yes, as soon as the approval status is set to Approved and the publishing status to Published.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click Explorer Explorer.

  2. Click Policy Management > Policy roll-outs. The list is displayed.

  3. Filter the list by Current policy roll-out = Yes.

  4. Click the relevant policy roll-out.

  5. Click Retire policy roll-out Retire policy roll-out. The Retire policy roll-out Retire policy roll-out button is displayed only if the Current policy roll-out attribute under Information is set to Yes.

  6. Click Yes to confirm the dialog when you are prompted.

The policy roll-out is retired by setting the Current policy roll-out attribute to No. This closes open policy reviews with the status Not reviewed and opens policy roll-out confirmations with the status Not completed. The users responsible are notified automatically by e-mail.
