Import user data from User management
To use the users from ARIS Administration in ARIS models, import the user data from the user management in ARIS Administration into ARIS Architect. To make sure that the users and their groups (imported from ARIS Administration) are included into the transfer, they must be integrated in the authorization diagrams in line with the modeling conventions. This report is usually run automatically at night.
Start ARIS Architect.
Log in as system user.
Click ARIS >
Explorer. The Explorer tab opens.Click
Navigation in the bar panel if the Navigation bar is not activated yet.Log in to the relevant database for the import from ARIS Administration.
In the Explorer tree, right-click the relevant group.
Click Evaluate > Start report.
Select the Administration category.
Select the Import user data from User management report.
Click Next and then Finish.
The users are extracted from ARIS Administration and an object of the Person type (OT_PERS) is generated in the selected group for each user. The following attributes of the user are transferred, as well: AT_LOGIN, AT_FIRST_NAME, AT_LAST_NAME, AT_EMAIL_ADDR, AT_PHONE_NUM, AT_DESC. The user groups are extracted from ARIS Administration and an object of the Role type (OT_PERS_TYPE) is generated for each user group. The AT_DESC attribute of the user group is also transferred. The user assignments of the individual user groups are now extracted from ARIS Administration, and for each assignment a connection of the performs type (CT_EXEC_5) is generated from the created user to the created user group. Then a model of the Organizational chart type (MT_ORG_CHRT) is generated for each user group. Its name is the name of the user group. In these organizational charts, occurrence copies of the user group including all users and assigned relationships are generated.
