Role levels
The role level (authorization level) determines which items are available to and which fields of an item can be edited by the users. Some role types have multiple role levels, others only one. For example, the Control tester role type can be assigned to the object-specific role level only, while the Control manager role type can be assigned to all role levels. The following role levels exist:
Cross-environment
The privileges assigned to the role apply to all environments.
Environment-specific
The privileges assigned to the role apply to the environment to which the role is assigned.
Object-specific
The privileges assigned to the role apply to the objects of the environment to which the role is assigned.
