Open data from ARIS Risk and Compliance in ARIS

You can open the following items from ARIS Risk and Compliance in ARIS and vice versa: risks, controls, control execution definitions, control test definitions, policy templates, survey schedulers, questionnaire templates, as well as process, regulation, organization, and risk category hierarchy elements.

Prerequisite

  • You have a Risk and Compliance role that allows you to open Risk and Compliance data, for example, Risk manager role for risk data.

  • You have the required privileges in ARIS, for example, the license privileges ARIS Connect Viewer or ARIS Connect Designer.

  • You have the required privileges in ARIS Risk and Compliance, Risk and Compliance (Operate) or Risk and Compliance (Contribute).

  • The ARIS database reference is up to date.

Open data from ARIS Risk and Compliance in ARIS

You can open objects from ARIS Risk and Compliance in ARIS.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. In ARIS Risk and Compliance, open the element for which you want to display data in ARIS, for example, a risk. The form divided into Overview and Information is displayed.

  2. To open the risk in ARIS, click Open object in ARIS Portal Open object in ARIS Portal in the navigation bar. The fact sheet of the risk in ARIS opens on a separate browser tab.

  3. To open the fact sheet of the hierarchy element assigned to the risk in ARIS, click Information > Open object in ARIS Portal Open object in ARIS Portal in the row of the relevant hierarchy element (Hierarchy assignments). The fact sheet of the hierarchy element in ARIS is displayed on a separate browser tab.

  4. To open the model containing the assigned hierarchy element in ARIS, click Information, and then Open in new window Open in new window in the row of the relevant hierarchy element (Hierarchy assignments).

    Then move the mouse pointer over the model name and click Open model in ARIS Open model in ARIS Portal. The fact sheet of the model in ARIS is displayed on a separate browser tab.

The selected element is opened in ARIS.
